Browse cover art, artist, album and titles from your iPod via the PSX-2 or a PC on your

network. The revolutionary wand-style MX-5000 brings the power of WiFi networking

to the home theater, without compromising simplicity. The high speed of the built-in

802.11 B/G WiFi transceiver enables the MX-5000 to display lists of artists, albums or

songs and to display the cover art of the selected album on the Now Playing screen of

the remote control from the PSX-2 Personal Server.

The MX-5000 offers two independent communications and control methods simultaneously.

It provides both a narrow band 418MHz transmitter for instant control of conventional

home theater components and a WiFi transceiver for high speed transfer of cover art,

artist, album and title metadata.

GUI on large (2.8") color LCD touch screen.

Integrates IP cameras, lighting, HVAC and Windows Media PC, plus 2-Way display and

control of AM, FM, XM, and Sirius Radio. Browse the radio stations available to your

IP controlled home theater receiver on the screen of the MX-5000 (the URC 2-Way

database includes popular IP controlled Audio Video Receivers from Denon, Yamaha,

Integra and B & K).

The demands of WiFi and high speed data communication coupled with a large color

touch screen raise the demand for power to a new level. The MX-5000 is equipped with

a unique double-capacity Lithium Ion battery, providing over four hours of continuous

use before recharging. Should the MX-5000 be left on a table, it will remain in standby

mode for 9 days without requiring a recharge.

The MX-5000 is PC programmable using CCP, URC’s universal programming platform.
